Running Out!

Alright, guys...it's story time.  We all have heroes, and we all feel empowered in the presence of certain people.  Those people are innately rad.

I have a cousin who constantly empowers me.  While in college, she had to battle cancer (college!!).  She planned everything herself, all appointments, all meetings.  Def had the support of her family, but she was a solitary trooper in all this.  Yes, she won.  No, she kicked it's ass.

And guess what?  She's been an advocate of women's health ever since.  She's going back to school to become a nurse practitioner, she's working with every charity imaginable, and she's constantly trying to raise awareness for women's health.  Miss C, you rock!

She qualified to run the Chicago marathon, coming up in October.  She has partnered with Bright Pink (site here), an organization that aligns themselves with her belief that women should feel empowered talking about their own health.  Please take a minute to read her page, and if the mood strikes you, please feel free to donate to her cause.  If nothing else, forwarding this information to women you care about is really thanks enough.

From the bottom of my heart.
