For the Pair
I love finding furniture that feels a little un-loved, but is full of potential. I found these chairs ($60 for the pair) at the local thrift store. The caning is in great shape, and the wood had a great finish.
But, oh man...look at that cushion. Geez.
The stance is nice and wide, meaning that don't feel small or narrow. Seriously, the only downside was the upholstery. I've never re-upholstered anything myself, and I don't intend to. But these chairs were promising, in the fact that it must be pretty cheap to re-do these.
Now, if anyone can throw me suggestions of a great fabric - I think we could be great friends. I'll buy you a coffee...

Upholstery isn't difficult. It's all in paying attention to the details like straight stitching & keeping the fabric tight to the cushion.
Oooo, helpful for sure. Do you have any online tutorials you would recommend? I think I found the fabric I'm planning to use.
